What is Ghrelin?

Ghrelin is a 28-amino acid peptide secreted primarily by the stomach. Beyond appetite regulation, ghrelin binds the GHS-R receptor and triggers GH release — the basis for ghrelin-mimetic peptides like ipamorelin and MK-677.
