What is Cagrilintide?
Cagrilintide is a metabolic · amylin peptide studied for weight management as monotherapy and combined with semaglutide (cagrisema) and glycemic control in type 2 diabetes. A long-acting analog of amylin, a pancreatic hormone co-secreted with insulin. It slows gastric emptying, increases satiety, and suppresses glucagon — complementary to GLP-1 mechanisms.
