Vasopressin (Vasostrict) is a vasopressor · hormonal peptide studied for septic shock and cardiac arrest (historical). Endogenous nonapeptide that activates V1 vascular receptors to cause vasoconstriction and V2 renal receptors for water reabsorption. Used to raise blood pressure in catecholamine-resistant shock.
