What is Teriparatide (Forteo)?
Teriparatide (Forteo) is a parathyroid hormone · anabolic bone peptide studied for postmenopausal osteoporosis and male osteoporosis. Recombinant fragment of parathyroid hormone (amino acids 1–34). Intermittent dosing stimulates osteoblast activity more than osteoclasts, producing net bone formation and increased bone mineral density.
