What is Desmopressin (DDAVP)?
Desmopressin (DDAVP) is a vasopressin analog · hormonal peptide studied for central diabetes insipidus and primary nocturnal enuresis. Synthetic analog of arginine vasopressin with enhanced antidiuretic activity and negligible vasopressor effect. Acts on renal V2 receptors to increase water reabsorption; also increases factor VIII and vWF release.
